Fytoprogesteron: Kdy pomáhá a kdy může uškodit?

Phytoprogesterone: When does it help and when can it harm?

Phytoprogesterone is gaining more and more attention as a natural way to achieve hormonal balance. It helps with a short luteal phase, irregular ovulation, severe PMS or as support after stopping hormonal contraception. You can also find it among our dietary supplements as NaturEndo Phytoprogesterone .

But precisely because it is a substance with a hormonal effect, it must be used consciously and with the right timing. It is not a universal remedy for every woman and every situation.

Here we present the most common mistakes we encounter when using phytoprogesterone - and how to avoid them.

What is phytoprogesterone?

Phytoprogesterone is a natural substance that binds to progesterone receptors in the body. It does not act like a classic hormone from the outside, but mimics the effects of your own progesterone. This can be very useful in situations where the body does not produce this hormone in sufficient quantities - for example, after ovulation or during periods of stress.

In the NaturEndo formula, we have supplemented phytoprogesterone with other active ingredients, including talaromycin, which increases its absorbability and synergy with the body.

The most common mistakes when taking phytoprogesterone

1. Too early use – before ovulation

Phytoprogesterone should only be taken after ovulation, when progesterone levels naturally rise. If taken before then, it can "confuse" the body and cause premature bleeding or a shortened cycle.

"If a woman doesn't know when she's ovulating and starts phytoprogesterone too early, the body can trigger menstruation when the luteal phase should just begin," warns naturotherapist Gabriela Tuatti .

2. Ignorance of one's own cycle

Without monitoring ovulation (for example, with the symptothermal method or LH tests), it is impossible to determine when to start taking the pill. Using the “estimated cycle day” can be misleading – especially for women with irregular cycles.

3. Too high doses right from the start

Some women start with the maximum dose instead of observing their body's reaction with a smaller dose. For more sensitive women, this can cause fatigue, headaches, or spotting.

4. Unresolved cause of hormonal imbalance

Phytoprogesterone can support the body beautifully, but if the cause is long-term stress, adrenal exhaustion, or trauma, then without lifestyle changes or deeper inner work, it is often not enough to return to health.

How to take phytoprogesterone correctly

After ovulation – most often 2–3 days after confirmed ovulation (using the symptothermal method or ovulation tests), especially if you are not 100% sure when ovulation occurred, do not start taking phytoprogesterone right away

In the second half of the cycle – usually 10–14 days, depending on the length of the individual woman's cycle

In cycles – 3 months of use is recommended, then 1 month break

In accordance with the body – in case of adverse reactions, adjust the dose or consult a therapist about use

Phytoprogesterone is a powerful tool – but like any tool, it needs to be handled properly. When used consciously, it can be a crucial aid for many women on their journey to hormonal balance.
